Geneva Connie Hood

Mrs. Geneva Connie Hood, age 80, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Hood was born May 25, 1928 to the late Alvin and Ethel Abernathy Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband Wyman Hood and sons Larry and Wayne Hood. Mrs. Hood was a textile worker and a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Lamar and Hilda Hood, Cleveland; grandchildren Rebecca, Darrell, Michelle, Leslie; great grand children Mathew, Christopher, Caleb, Justin, Chelsea, Brianna, Kaila, Dylan, A.J., Eli, Abby; sisters Marie Hicks, Cleveland; Doris Black, Cleveland; Dorothy Jean Butler, Clermont; brother Charles Thomas, Cleveland. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday, April 2, 2009 from the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Loyd Ledford will officiate. Interment will follow in Loudsville United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
