Geneva Nix

Geneva Teague Nix, age 83 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022. Mrs. Geneva Nix was born January 3, 1939, in Blairsville Georgia to the late Thomas B Teague and Mary L. Towe. Geneva was a member of Emmanuel Gospel Fellowship Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband David Nix; her siblings, Loy Teague, Earl Teague, Jessie Teague, Edward Teague and Pearl Teague Gunn. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Audrey and Gerald DuFresne; daughter Shirl Davis and fiancé Mark Taylor; son Benjamin Hooper; grandchildren Christina Maria Pereira, Gerald A. DuFresne II, Christian Hooper, Trey Hooper, Justice Hooper, Delilah Teague; siblings, Grapell Harkins, Lulu Bell Davis, William “Lewis” Teague, Shirley Adams, Jerry Teague; 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral home. Sister Betty Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow in Owl Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite charity.
