George E. Marks

George E. Marks, Jr., age 73, of Sautee Nacoochee, GA, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021. He was born in March, 1948, in Pensacola, FL., the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George E. Marks, Sr., and was the sibling to Elaine Marks of Slidell, LA, the late JoAnn Rucker of Covington, LA, and James Marks of Mandeville, LA. George was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Williams. George is survived by his wife, LaJuan Edlund, of 53 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Teri Marks-Brunner; two grandchildren, Darby Brunner and Josh Brunner. George was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Cleveland, GA. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, December 26, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 843 Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Road, Cleveland, GA (off Hwy. 129 N.), for family and friends. Interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in George’s name to a cause of your choosing. His examples of kindness and gentleness will stay with us in our hearts.
