George Mccallister

George Melton McCallister age 67 of Cleveland passed away Sunday July 15, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. McCallister was born December 27, 1944 the son of the late Earnest Crawford and Myrtle Elizabeth McDuffie McCallister. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and attended Union Grove Holiness Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Nelms McCallister, Cleveland; son and daughter in law, Justin and Amanda McCallister, Cleveland; grandson, Kody McCallister, Cleveland; brothers and sisters in law, Frank and Inez McCallister, Batesville, Charles and Edna McCallister, Clyde McCallister and Glenda Pilgrim, all of Cleveland; sisters and brothers in law, Hazel and Luke Littleton, Mt. Airy, Mildred and Joel Craven, Cleveland; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday July 17, 2012 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Flynn will officiate. Interment will follow in Macedonia United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
