Georgia Brock Cornell

Mrs. Georgia Brock Cornell , age 95 of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2007 at BJC Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Cornell was born on March 17, 1912 in Banks County to the late Jim and Lillie Mathison Brock. She was a textile worker and a member of Center Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Arnold Sims and her second husband Bill Cornell, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She was the last surviving member of her family. Survivors include a sister-in-law: Annie Flo Brock, Helen; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Center Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Wilkes and the Rev. Hoyt Winkler officiating. Interment will follow at Chattahoochee United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
