Gerald "Gerry" Bruce Herdliska

Gerald "Gerry" Bruce Herdliska, age 70, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024. He was born on July 21, 1954, in Barstow, California, to the late Alva and Theresa Mardoy Herdliska. Gerry was a dedicated bus driver for White County Schools, where he touched the lives of many students and families. He was known for his love of music, gardening, and his unique collection of gnomes. However, above all, Gerry cherished spending time with his family, creating memories that will be forever treasured by those who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Amy Herdliska; children, Anna Herdliska, Heather Smock (Adam), Matthew Herdliska, Sean Speagle, Chelsea Speagle, and Kelly Speagle; grandchildren, Isabella, Kylie, Hayden, and Hudson; as well as his brother, Robert Herdliska, and sister, Mary Sue Papin. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, December 23, 2024, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, with Father Fabio Alvarez officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at Barrett Funeral Home prior to the Mass.
