Glenda York

Glenda York, age 68, of Clarkesville, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Mrs. York was born on November 20, 1957, to the late John Henry Heaton and Loyce Thurmond Heaton. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd York; infant son, Wesley York.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Greg Blackwell; son and companion, Casey York and Darbie Massey; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Alicia York; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Taylor and the Rev. Kenneth Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow in Liberty Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
