Gracie Dean Nix

Gracie Dean Nix, age 91 of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021. Mrs. Nix was born May 6, 1930, in White County to the late Alex Stringer and Cora Belle Kanady. Gracie was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Seaborn Nix, sons, Kenneth James Nix, Jeffery Dean Nix, siblings, Willie Lou Thomas, Maudell Thomas, Mabell Head, Dorothy Smith, Alex Stringer Jr, Geneva Taylor. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Sue Palmer (Danny); daughter-in-law Janice Dorsey; grandchildren, Selena (Rod) Nix, Kevin (Brittany) Nix; great grandchildren, Tripp, Tyla, Knox, and Bristol Nix. A special thanks to Amedisys Hospice, and Debbie Denson, her special friend and caregiver, for her love and compassion as she cared for our mom over the years. Private graveside services will be held at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate.
