Hansel McCollum, age 81 of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Mr. McCollum was born in Cleveland, GA on January 15, 1945, to the late Eugene and Susie McCollum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Randolph McCollum and Loy McCollum.

Mr. McCollum was an accountant for Fieldale Farms, working there for over 45 years, and was the co-owner of Dixon-McCollum Enterprises. He attended Purpose Church at Bethel Temple.

Survivors include his wife, Betty McCollum; daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Stan Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Rita McCollum; daughter and son-in-law, Torie and Patrick Barry; step-children, Levis Gerrell, Tina and Rex Salling, and Kathy and Jeff Hartley; grandchildren, Laura and Kyler Mitchell, Thomas and Karlee Davis, Dakota and Sage McCollum, Bailey McCollum, Brooklyn McCollum, Dixon McCollum, Blake Gerrell, Shelbie and Nick Loggins, J.T. Gerrell; great-grandson, Boone Mitchell; siblings, Robert McCollum and Mildred Knight; sister-in-law, Anita McCollum; and many other friends and relatives.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until 2 P.M. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at the funeral home, followed by funeral services at 2 P.M. at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Edward Hood will officiate. Interment will follow at Blue Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
