Harold Alex Kalbing, Jr., of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 59. Born on May 30, 1965, in Connecticut to Harold Alex Kalbing, Sr. and Elizabeth Louise Merriam, Harold was a proud and dedicated man who lived life to the fullest. A professional in the construction industry, Harold spent many years working hard. Outside of work, Harold enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies. He had a deep love for the outdoors, often spending his free time fishing, exploring nature, and love for animals. An avid history enthusiast, he enjoyed watching history and military movies, which reflected his strong sense of patriotism and respect for the past. Harold was also an avid gamer, particularly enjoying military strategy games on his PlayStation. His love for mystery and intrigue led him to immerse himself in murder mystery stories. He had a deep love for his family and friends. He never forgot a birthday. Survivors include mother, Elizabeth Kalbing; sisters, Terry Michael, Dawn Marie Piper (David), Debbie Haman (Tim), and Shirley Soncrant (Larry); nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Soncrant, Katie Porter, Amanda Montemurro, Zachary Haman, Brend Cannon, Jason Cannon, David Piper III, Dane Piper, and Brock Piper. Memorial services are scheduled for 3 P.M. Saturday, January 4th, 2025, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with Mr. Brian Alexander officiating.
