Retired Lt. Col. Harvey Marks Radey, age 86 of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday December 24, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Radey was born August 8, 1923 in Amarillo, T.X. to the late Madell Kendrick and Harvey M. Radey SR. He was a retired Lt. Col. of the United States Army where he served in WWII. Mr. Radey’s hospital administration career spanned from Pennsylvania to Clifton-Fine Memorial Hospital in Star Lake, N.Y. where he retired. “He could still yodel.” He was a former administrator of Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H. and a member of Fellowship Church in Baldwin, GA.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Harvey (Skip) Radey III and Cindy Spence Radey; daughter and son-in-law Susan Radey Wyrick and CW4 (R) Benny Lee Wyrick; grandchildren, Rebecca Radey Wallace, Patricia Radey, Laurie Wyrick, Jason Wyrick, Matthew Wyrick; great-grandchildren, Kyera Xan Wyrick, Holden Wyrick, Wynter Arora Radey Morgan, Hailynne Wyrick, Kasen Wyrick.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 1, 2010 at the Fellowship Church in Baldwin. The Rev. Craig Lee will officiate.
