Hazel Ann Burt

Mrs. Hazel Ann Burt, age 80 of Sautee, formerly of Buford, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Habersham Medical Center. Mrs. Burt was born on December 12, 1928 in White County to the late Walter and Evelyn Davis. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Burt, sisters, Mildred Bassett and Doris Taylor, a nephew, Michael Gann and a stepson, Carlton Burt. She was a bookkeeper and of the Methodist faith. Survivors include: husband: Dean Burt, Demorest; step-daughters: Judy Jones and Joyce Elliott, both of Dahlonega; sister and brother-in-law: Joyce & Bob Gann, Cleveland; 3 nephews, 3 nieces, 1 great-niece, 1 great-nephew, 2 great-great nephews and 3 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 15, 2009 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyal Thornton officiating. Interment to follow in the New Liberty Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
