Helen Jarrard Hester

Helen Jarrard Hester, age 87, of Dahlonega, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Mrs. Hester was born on May 23, 1937, to the late Ed and Lila Jones Jarrard. Helen worked for Burlington Industries and was a member of Community Chapel Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garner Hester, great-grandson, Jacob Hester; brothers, Troy Jarrard and Harlan Jarrard. Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Hester; sister, Tona Hester; grandson and daughter-in-law, Matt and Terri Hester; and great granddaughter, Jana Hester; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews also survive. Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Community Chapel Church Cemetery in Dahlonega. The Rev. Brandon Hester will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.
