Henry Luther Blackwell

Mr. Henry Luther Blackwell age 63 of Sautee passed away Monday September 7, 2009 at Northeast Ga Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Blackwell was born in Bradley County Tennessee the son of the late Frank Blackwell and Lula Bell McGown Blackwell. He was preceded in death by brothers, Ed Blackwell and Olden Blackwell. Mr. Blackwell was a farmer and member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Blackwell, Sautee; son, Wesley Blackwell, Cleveland; daughters, Patricia McDuffie, Beth Satterfield, both of Cleveland; grandchildren, Wesley Blackwell Jr., Grace Blackwell, Joy Blackwell, Chris Lee, Alisha Lee, Kytle Wood, Savannah Dishman; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Paul, Oakwood, Lillian Baugh, Homer, Alice Palmer, Dahlonega, Margaret Sullens, Lula; brother, Elmer Blackwell, Kingsport, TN. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday September 10, 2009 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Abernathy and the Rev. M.A. Poole will officiate. Interment will follow in Dukes Creek Bapitst Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the funeral home.
