Henry "Buddy" "Squirrel" Nix

Mr. Henry “Buddy” “Squirrel” Nix, Jr., age 81 of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, February 01, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Nix was born in Cleveland on June 15, 1929 to the late Ora Lee Autry Nix and Henry Nix, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Martha Nix. Mr. Nix was a security guard at Truitt McConnell College and a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include his Wife: Lois Nix, Cleveland; Daughters: Vickie Nix and Patty Dance, both of Cleveland; Daughters and son in laws: Lisa and Donnie Monday, Cleveland; Heather Brown & Jason Mangus, Cleveland; Son: Ray Dean Nix, Cleveland; Sisters: Edith Partin and Jane Ivey, both of Cleveland and 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gateway Memory Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
