Henry Grady Hunt

Mr. Henry Grady Hunt, age 99 of Cleveland passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Hunt was born in White county on August 16, 1910 to the late William Henry and Jessie Robertson Hunt. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Garlin Hunt and sisters, Fannie Lee Hunt Whitfield and Etheleen Hunt Wallace. Mr. Hunt was a veteran of U.S. Army having served in WWII. He was retired from Ames Textile as a textile worker and attended Mt. View Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: Ruth Holeman Hunt, Cleveland; daughter: Geleta Hunt, Cornelia; sister: Henrietta Lee, Cleveland; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 3, 2009 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Head and Rev Mike Irvin will officiate with the Rev. Dave Fortner at graveside. Interment will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
