Herbert Turner

Herbert H. Turner, age 85 of Dahlonega, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Mr. Turner was born October 29, 1929 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Luther and Dora Davis Turner. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and was a lifelong mechanic having retired from Torrington Bearing Company. Herbert was preceded in death by his wife Lona Mae Turner, brothers Berry Turner, Carlton Turner, sisters Magdaline Dobbins and Martha Cain. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Judy Turner, Dahlonega; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannine and Clyde Woody, Suches; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Alice Turner, Cleveland; sister, Mary Jett, Cleveland; grandchildren, Angie and Jason Booker; Regina Woody; Tommy and Deanna Turner; Randy and Faith Turner; Kristy and Mark Hallman; Rebecca Roberts; great grandchildren, Addison Mae Booker, Samantha Carter, Kristen Turner, Justin Turner, Joshua Turner, Clay Turner, Grant Hallman, Kenadee Hallman, Naomi Roberts; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Macedonia Baptist Church. The Rev. Junior Abernathy and the Rev. Marty Abernathy will officiate.
