Herman Leon Helton

Herman Leon Helton age 69 of Dahlonega passed away Thursday July 30, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Helton was born in White County, Georgia the son of the late George Marion Helton and Cordie Corbin Helton. Mr. Helton was a truck driver for the lumber industry. Mr. Helton was preceded in death by his brothers: Bill Helton, Oscar Helton. Sisters: Effie Helton, Baby Helton, Annie Sutton and Nora Etris. Survivors include his wife, Dearl Elizabeth Helton, of Dahlonega; daughter and son in law: Amanda Elizabeth and Brad Andrew Ferguson, Dahlonega; Brother: Floyd Helton, Dahlonega; and Sister: Betty Jean Dockery, Dahlonega Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Sunday August 2, 2009 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery in Dahlonega. The Family will receive friends 6-9 PM Friday and 5-9 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home.
