Hilda Mize Vinson

Ms. Hilda Mize Vinson, age 57 of Cleveland passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on December 20, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Robert Mize Sr. and Susie Childers Mize. Ms. Vinson was a retired from Quality Control with Sewell Plastics Co. and of the Non-Denominational Faith. Survivors include her daughters and son-in-laws, Angela and Tracy Newsome, Carrolton, Georgia; Anita and James Rakestraw, Whitesburg, Georgia; grandchildren, Brandi Whiddon, Evan Henslee, Cody Newsome, all of Carrolton, Georgia; Carl Rakestraw, Dakota Rakestraw, both of Whitesburg, Georgia; sisters, Wanda Corn, Cleveland, Georgia; Deborah Cope, Carrolton, Georgia; brothers, Robert Mize, Jr. Kennesaw, Georgia; Joseph Mize, Dahlonega, Georgia; many nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives, and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2007 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with Dr. Don Pruitt, Mr. James Mize, Mr. Mike Vinson, and Mrs. Wanda Wessell officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday.
