Homer Garmon

Mr. Homer Garmon age 95 of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at New Horizons Lanier Park. Mr. Garmon was born in Jackson County the son of the late James William Garmon and Mae Elizabeth Garner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Garmon, son, David Garmon, sisters, Annie Gilstrap and Lena Capes. Mr. Garmon was retired from Mount Vernon Mills and was a charter member of Cleveland Worship Center. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War 11. Survivors include daughters and sons in law, Vivian and Phillip Nations, Clarkesville, Joyce and Larry Highsmith, Mt. Juliet, TN., Sherrill and Freddie Ravan, Cleveland; sons and daughters in law, Rondal and Joyce Garmon, James and Karen Garmon, all of Cleveland;14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday September 27, 2013 at Cleveland Worship Center. The Rev. Marc Turner and the Rev. Edward Hood will officiate. Interment will be in Gateway Memory Park.
