Howard Goodger

Howard Gentle Goodger, age 95 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Goodger was born November 25, 1915 in Boliver, TX to the late Howard and Eunice Ethel Gentle Goodger, He was a member and Past Master of the Masonic Lodge and was a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church. Mr. Goodger moved to Louisiana in 1955 and helped build the first bridge over Lake Pontchartrain Survivors include his wife, Oleta Goodger, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Barbara Goodger, Cleveland; daughters and sons-in-law, Vayon and Russell Smith, Bozeman, MT; Vickie and Allen Schoppe, Fulsher, TX; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 25, 2011 from Cleveland First Baptist Church. Dr. T. Mike Davis and the Rev. Dennis Turner will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
