Hugh Franklin Wehunt

Mr. Hugh Franklin Wehunt, age 68 of Cleveland passed away on Monday, February 19, 2007 at his residence following an extended illness. Born in White County, Georgia on September 18, 1938, he was the son of Mrs. Pearl Wehunt of Cleveland and the late Mr. Hugh Wehunt. Mr. Wehunt was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was a Block Mason for many years. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann Wehunt. Survivors other than his mother include, wife, Christine Wehunt, Gainesville; sons, Milton Wehunt, Murrayville; Stanley Wehunt, Gainesville; daughters, Lisa Rio, Ladora Adams, both of Gainesville; Jamie Carter, Dahlonega; sister, Shirley Morgan, Cleveland; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2007 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Helen Brady and the Rev. Scott Finley will officiate. Interment will follow in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery in Jefferson, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday.
