Icy Bell Nix

Mrs. Icy Bell Nix age 91 of Cleveland passed away Thursday December 31, 2009 at a private Health Care Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Nix was born in White County the daughter of the late Noah and Callie Edge Gilstrap. She was preceded in death by son, Harold Nix and daughter, Helen Baker. Mrs. Nix was a homemaker and member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Gene Nix, Cleveland; daughter, Betty Rigdon, Conyers; daughter in law, Angela Nix, Cleveland; and her sisters, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday January 1, 2010 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery.
