Jackie Jean Nelms

Jackie Jean Nelms, age 74, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Nelms was born February 6, 1940 in Lumberton, NC to the late Jessie Gore Sr. and Nettie Keeter Gore. She was Certified Nursing Assistant for Thomasville Medical Center and attended The Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Nelms was preceded in death by her brother Jessie Gore Jr., granddaughter Holly A. Charette and great grandson Justice Charette. Survivors include her husband, Melvin Nelms, Cleveland; sons, Michael Charette, Hank Charette, Raymond Charette, all of Thomasville, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Rene’ and Donna Charette, Rhode Island; daughter, Diana Charette, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Susanne and Ricky A. Garner, Thomasville, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Johnny Westmoreland; Cleveland; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
