James M. Anderson Sr.

Mr. James (Jim) M. Anderson Sr. age 71, of Cleveland passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at his residence following a sudden illness. Mr. Anderson was born on September 2, 1937 to the late James Calhoun and Beatrice Ellen Givens Anderson. Mr. Anderson served in the Navy reserves. He worked as a manager at Sears in Augusta. Mr. Anderson served as Lieutenant with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office. He was former Helen business owner and a security guard at Loreley Resort in Helen. He was of the Methodist Faith. Survivors include his son James (Jay) M. Anderson, Augusta; son and daughter in law Joe and Lynn Anderson, Appling, GA; daughter Jill Ferguson, Gainesville; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grand children. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 P.M. Sunday, April 5, 2009 from the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Turner will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12-3 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
