James Green

Mr. James Robert Green, age 79, of Suches, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2026.

Mr. Green was born in Atlanta to the late Joseph Roy and Ella Louise Kelly Green. He proudly served his country in the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. He was in Operations for Delta Airlines and was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Roy Green and Mark Green.

Survivors include wife, Sheila Green, Suches; daughter, Michelle Ashley; son, Shane Green; daughter, Erika Rogers; daughter, Meredith Green; son, James Turpin; and son, Jeffrey Turpin; grandchildren, Hannah and Ethan Kuhn, Seth and Bethany Owens, Shelbie and Gavin Black, Gracie and Damion Rodriguez, Madison and Bayley Frank, and Zadee Graves; great-grandchildren, Grayson Black, Marlee Frank, Haylei Kuhn, Khloe Kuhn, Klaira Kuhn, Jayce Owens, and Layla Owen.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Rudy Tribble will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery on Tesnatee Gap Valley Road. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM Wednesday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
