James (J.L.) Sutton

Mr. James Leon (J.L.) Sutton, age 86, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023. Mr. Sutton was born to the late Oscar “Boss” Herbert and Carrie Maude Jarrard Sutton. In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Sutton; sisters, Bonnie Otto and Barbara Blackwell; and brother, Junior Sutton. Mr. Sutton was a retired truck driver with Brown Transport. Survivors include daughter, Elesa Sutton, Snellville; daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Dave Tucker, Clarkesville; son, Michael Sutton, Cleveland; grandchildren, Brandon Tucker and Caleb Sutton; sister, Bertice Grizzle, Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Ervin and Joyce Sutton, Cleveland; and brother, Harold Sutton, Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery.
