Mr. James Larry Adams age 60 of Sautee passed away Sunday May 4, 2008 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Adams was born in Hall County and lived in White County all of his life. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was a Veteran serving our country proudly in the United States Army. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Adams gave a gift of life through organ donation by Lifelink of Georgia. He was a member of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church, the Mt. Yonah Masonic Lodge # 382 F & AM, and was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Adams, grandfather, Vinson Shewbert, grandparents, Linton and Sallie Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Adams, Sautee; daughters and sons-in-law, Dede and Angile Dyer, Demorest; Lori and Tim Easterling, Winder; mother, Betty Adams, Sautee; grandmother, Bonnie Shewbert, Sautee; grandsons, Adam and Tucker Dyer, Demorest; granddaughters, Kelsey, Hannah, & Haleigh Easterling, Winder; sister and brother-in-law, Lynette and James Harper, Palmetto, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lynn and Arlen Hogan, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Johnny and Brenda Sutton, all of Cleveland; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, best buddy, Bobby Adams, Cleveland.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 07, 2008 from the Mt. Yonah Baptist Church. The Rev. John Yarbrough, the Rev. Gary Heffner, and the Rev. Doug Merck will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday.
