James Grady Sears

James Grady Sears, age 92 of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Mr. Sears was born on August 6, 1927, in Hall County to the late John Henry Sears and Etta Harkins Sears. He was a carpenter and a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Sears was preceded in death by his wife, Versie Sears; sons, Leon Sears and Richard Sears; son-in-law Bruce Davis.Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lucille and John Mullins, Cleveland; daughter, Betty Davis, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Sam Roberts, Gainesville; son, Henry Lee Sears, Cleveland; sister, Grace and Jimmy Davenport; brother, Benny and Laura Sears, Cleveland; 10 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, and 1 great- great grandchild. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Kasey McEntire and Mr. Dennis Bryan will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the funeral home.
