James N. Traves

Mr. James N. Traves, age 87 of Sautee – Nacoochee, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 following injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. Born in England on February 12, 1919, he was the son of the late James and Mary Scott Traves. Mr. Traves served in the Canadian Army during WWII and was retired as an Electronic Technician with Lear Jet Co. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doreen Patricia Lovell Traves and was a member of the Nacoochee Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Susan Victoria and David Walter, Sautee, Georgia; sons and daughter-in-laws, James Gregory and Pat Traves, Kettering, Ohio; Stephen Charles and Yetta Traves, Sarasota, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at the Nacoochee Presbyterian Church. Mr. Bob Prim will officiate. Mr. Traves wishes were to be cremated and interment of the remains will follow in Nacoochee Presbyterian Church Memorial Gardens. Flowers are accepted or the family requests that all memorial donations be made to the Georgia Chapter of the M.S. Society, P.O. Box 16128 Atlanta, Georgia 30321-6128.
