James Edward Watson, Jr.

James Edward Watson, Jr., age 54, of Cornelia, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Mr. Watson was born on January 1, 1969, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late James E. Watson, Sr. and Rebecca Bowens Watson. He worked for the City of Baldwin Water Department and spent most of his spare time riding motorcycles and camping. Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Yvette and Kenneth Gooch, Gainesville; brother, Cory Watson; friend, Doug Mead; nephews, Shannon Gooch and Kevin Gooch; numerous extended family members also survive. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Brookstone Church – 3681 Cleveland Hwy, Gainesville, GA 30506. The Rev. Jeff Lovell will officiate.
