James Leroy Whaley

James Leroy Whaley, age 72 of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2016 at his residence.   Mr. Whaley was born on December 29, 1943 to the late Georgia McCormick Whaley. He was a retired mail courier with Allied Ready Mix Concrete Company and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Whaley was preceded in death by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Adgar Hart.   Survivors include his wife, Nancy Whaley, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, James Kim Whaley and Kim Whaley, Wedowee, AL; daughters, Debrah Whaley Booth, Woodstock, GA; Lindsey Whaley, Arizona; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Earl Whaley, Hughley, AL; Leo Whaley, Griffin; uncles, Josh McCormick, Roanoke, AL; James Cleo Whaley, Woodland, AL; niece and nephew, Meredith and Frankie Young; great nieces, Sidney Hart and Mikala Roper; great-great niece, Lillie Tilson; great-great nephew, Hartlee Garrison; brothers-in-law, Ernest Griffin and Ronald Griffin.   No services will be held.   Online condolences can be made to family at www.barrettfh.com   Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland.
