Janet Holt

Janet Marie Holt, age 92 of Cleveland passed away February 21, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis Indiana, on December 30, 1930. Mrs. Holt married Richard Holt on June 11, 1955, together they raised a family of three boys. After living in Columbus, GA for a time where she taught second grade, the family moved to Plymouth, MI for 33 years. While in Plymouth she sang in choirs and played cello with the Plymouth Community Orchestra for 25 years, also putting on school programs to teach the students about string instruments. After moving to Demorest to help care for her elderly mother she played with the Gainesville and Toccoa Symphony Orchestras. Mrs. Holt is survived by her husband, Richard Holt, and sons David Holt and Steven Holt. A memorial service will be held at the Demorest Federated Church on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at 2 PM.
