Janie Eva Palmer

Mrs. Janie Eva Palmer, age 84 of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Palmer was born on June 2, 1926 in Swannanoa, NC to the late Richard B. and Endy Stephens Sims. She was also preceded in death by 4 sisters and 1 brother. Mrs. Palmer was a seamstress for Babyland General and was a member of Cleveland Worship Center. Survivors include: husband: Rev. Allen Ross Palmer, Cleveland; daughters & sons in law: Doris & Edward Hood, Cleveland; Regina & Harlan Martin, Hartwell; Velma & Clyde Turner, Jr., Cleveland; Kathy & Mark Sittig, Tallahassee, FL; son & daughter in law: Timothy & Patty Palmer, Cleveland; grandchildren: Karen Mote, Edrick Hood, Alan Martin, Travis Turner, Kela Martin, Shane Palmer, Marc Turner, Stacy Palmer, Amanda Hanic and Lyndsey Sullivan; 16 great grandchildren; sister: Elvie Jackson, Cleveland; brother in law & sister in law: Guy & Polly Palmer, Cleveland; sister in law: Blanche Thurmond, Cleveland; numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Cleveland Worship Center, with the Rev. Marc Turner officiating. Interment will be at Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
