J.C. "Mule Train" Burnette, 74, of Cleveland, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at New Horizon North following an extended illness.
Born on December 20, 1932 in Union County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Willie and Frances Watkins Burnette. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Sue Burnette. Mr. Burnette was a retired truck driver in the lumber industry.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws: Ann & Joe Redd, Cleveland and Diane & Kenneth Woody, Sautee; sons and dauther-in-laws: Billy Joe & Brenda Burnette, Dahlonega, Larry & Kathy Burnette, Dahlonega and Randall (Bo) & Mary Burnette, Cleveland; sister: Barbara Burnette; aunt: Bertha Rundles, 17 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 31, 2007 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott McQueen and the Rev. Dawn McQueen will officiate. Mr. Burnette will be cremated after the service.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
