Jean Lindsay

Mrs. Jean Howard Lindsay, age 88 of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018.   Jean was born on November 2, 1929 in White County, to the late John and Icie Turner Howard. She retired from the Georgia Department of Family and Children’s Services. She was member of Cleveland United Methodist Church where she joined in 1957. Jean sang in the church choir, taught Sunday school for a number of years, as well as served on various committees. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lindsay who she married in 1957.   Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Dana Lindsay, Atlanta, and Kenneth and Donna Lindsay, Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Mary Catherine Lindsay, Ford Lindsay, Jack Lindsay, Jennifer and Chris Jones; great grandchildren, Emily Morgan Jones.   Memorial services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Cleveland United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ted Keen will officiate.   The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Saturday at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers please make donations to Cleveland United Methodist Church, P.O.
