Jeanette Gurley

Jeanette Allen Gurley, age 85, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016. Mrs. Gurley was born on December 17, 1930 in Hall County, to the late Fletcher and Lois Allen. Jeanette was a retired teacher, having taught at Air Line, East Hall, North Hall and Southwest Dekalb Schools. She was a graduate of North Georgia College and the University of Georgia. After her retirement she worked for Judge Garrison Baker. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband Dr. Allan Gurley; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Arnold and Agnes Gurley; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pauline and Charles Langston; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2016 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Borchert and Judge Garrison Baker will officiate. Interment will follow at Gateway Memory Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
