Jerilyn Gerrell

Mrs. Jerilyn Humphries Black Gerrell, age 81, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023. Mrs. Gerrell was born in Cleveland, GA. to the late Ernest and Wille Mae Skelton Humphries. She was a teacher with the Alpine Alternative School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Black and Odis Gerrell; son, Judd Gerrell; daughter, Jada Black; and sister, Joyce Crawford. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Evette Black, Port Republic, MD; and Josh and Veronica Gerrell, Cleveland, GA; daughter-in-law and husband, Carla and Tim Carr; grandchildren, Matthew Black, Rachel Black, Hannah Black, Tom and Ashley Gerrell, Maggie Gerrell, Dorothy Jane Gerrell, Jessica Gerrell, Brandon Gerrell, Cody and Laura Cantrell, Caleb Cantrell, Emily Cantrell; 5 great-grandchildren; as well as many other loving family members. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, July 17, 2023, from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. Memorial services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 P.M.
