Jessie Darline Gunter

Mrs. Jessie Darline Gunter, age 73, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020. Mrs. Gunter was born November 9, 1946 in Murphy, NC to the late Zed-Worth Youngblood and Wilda Sims Youngblood. Jessie was a homemaker and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Roger Youngblood and Lonnie Youngblood.  Survivors include her husband, Jerry Gunter Sr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Marline and John Rider; Arline and Tom Jackson; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Beverly Gunter Jr.; son, Jeff Gunter; daughter, Karen Gunter; brother, Harold Hollifield, 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Dr. Don Pruitt will officiate. Interment will follow in the Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
