Jessie Lou Abernathy Brock

Mrs. Jessie Lou Brock, age 90, of Helen died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Brock was born in White County, Georgia on June 16, 1916 the daughter of the late Church Abernathy and Georgia Elizabeth Adams Abernathy. She was a homemaker and member of Center Baptist Church. Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her husband June Brock. Survivors include daughters, Peggy English, Cornelia, Geraldine Lord, Commerce; son, Lanier Brock, Helen; 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; 6 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday April 22, 2007 at Center Baptist Church. The Rev. Michael Wilkes and the Rev. Hoyt Winkler will officiate. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the Church at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The family will receive friends 2-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
