Mrs. Jewell Holcomb Turner, age 82 of Cleveland passed away on Sunday, July 08, 2007 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta following an extended illness.
A life-long native of White County, Georgia, Mrs. Turner was born on March 09, 1925 and was the daughter of the late J.M. and Unar Tatum Holcomb. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, dedicated mother, and devoted to her entire family. Mrs. Turner was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland and was preceded in death by her husband Clyde William Turner, Sr. and daughter, Joyce Turner Crumley.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Clyde, Jr. and Velma Turner, Cleveland; daughters and son-in-laws, Betty Turner Crane and Joe Crane, Aiken, SC; Janna and John Lovell, Gainesville; grandchildren, Travis Turner, Marc Turner, Madison Crane, Jason Crane, Trey Crumley, Rory Crumley, Spencer Lovell, Luke Lovell, Hunter Lovell, great-grandchildren, Alyssa Turner, Trenton Turner, Easton Turner, Anna Turner, Sheldon Crane, and Tillie Ann Crumley.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Cleveland with the Rev. Dean Bryant, the Rev. Marc Turner, and the Rev. Dennis Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday.
