Jewell "Jerdy" Ravan

Jewel “Jerdy” Hunt Ravan, age 82 of Clermont, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024. Mrs. Ravan was born August 4, 1941, in Cleveland, GA to the late Jim and Carrie Gilleland Hunt. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Jerdy was a true and faithful servant of the Lord, she has ran her race, fought her fight and has won her crown. Jerdy was a homemaker and was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Terry Jones, sister, Kathy Hunt, sister and brother-in-law, Shelby and Donald Fields, brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Edith Hunt, brothers-in-law, Clinton Husley and Arnold Ravan. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Teddy Ravan; daughters, Cindy Ravan, Deanna Jones; grandchildren, Breanna Jones, Taylor Jones, Christopher and Makayla Jones; sister, Lounett Hulsey; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Marlene Hunt; Bradford and Vicky Hunt; sister-in-law, Joyce Ravan; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Brenda and Dave Deshan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Mt. View Baptist Church. The Rev. Kevin Woody and the Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Brad Hunt officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
