Jim Humphries

James “Jim” Tillman Humphries, age 79, of Cornelia, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Mr. Humphries was born on March 18, 1947, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Jesse and Lilly Mae Watkins Humphries. He was retired from Life of Georgia where he worked as an insurance salesman. Jim loved farming and rebuilding old tractors. He was a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sisters, Jeanette Dalton and Claudette Allen.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marilyn Dalton Humphries; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Robert Geiger; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Stephanie Humphries; grandchildren, Greyson Geiger, Ivy Geiger, Sydney Humphries, James Humphries, Mackenzie Humphries; sister, Valworth Welborn.

No public services are planned.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Chattahoochee Baptist Church - 7905 Duncan Bridge Road, Cleveland, GA 30528.
