Jimmie Nell Gerrells Medlock

TO WATCH MRS. MEDLOCK'S SERVICE, CLICK HERE On July 10th, 2020, Jimmie Nell Gerrells Medlock went home to be with the Lord. She was 90 years old and living in Dalton, Georgia, although formerly of Cleveland, Georgia. She was a wonderfully devoted mother to her surviving children and their spouses: Doug and Chris Gerrells of Dalton, Georgia, Maxine and Herbert Crane of Camilla, Georgia, Sandra and Keith Stowers of Dawsonville, Georgia, Bernice and Rainey Davis of Jefferson, Georgia and Jerry Hamilton of Clarkesville, Georgia. Jimmie Nell was a loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Jimmie Nell was also a stepmother to Ronnie and Geneva Medlock of Dunnellton, Florida, Marie and Bob Glover of Albany, Georgia, Margaret English of Dallas, Georgia, Brenda Medlock of Cordele, Georgia, Bobby and Linda Medlock of Albany, Georgia, Lisa and Ron Johnson of Canton, Georgia, Diane and Rodney Dishman of Dallas, Georgia, Mike and Betsy Medlock of Albany, Georgia and Tommy and Sissy Medlock of Acworth, Georgia. Her stepchildren also gave her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Jimmie Nell was born January 29, 1930 in White County to the late Frank and Irene Whiteside Harkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Gerrells; her husband, John Medlock; daughter, Monica Hamilton; granddaughter Beth Stowers Lee; great grandchildren, Olivia Monroe Camp and Ethan Gerrells; step son-in-law, Lee English; stepson, Billy Medlock. She loved gardening and working with her flowers. She also thoroughly enjoyed gospel and country music especially Don Williams and George Strait. She was a Christian in all walks of life, an angelic compassionate soul and she will be missed every day. Private funeral services will be held.
