Jimmie Nell Nix

Jimmie Nell Nix, age 86, of Dahlonega, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Mrs. Nix was born in Lumpkin County to the late James Benard and Lona Irene Jarrard Smith. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Aaron Nix; daughter, Lorie Nix Pardue; and sister, Allene “Pug” Wood. She was a homemaker and a member of Welcome Worship Center, as well as the Sunshine Club. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Joyce Nix, Dahlonega; grandchildren, Kim and Kevin Stephens, Mark and Brooke Nix; Jessica and Lamar Jarrard, and Justin and Alissa Turner; great-grandchildren, Kendra and Garrett Stephens, John Wilder Henry Nix, Lucus Jarrard, Layla, Lizah Mae, Lincoln, and Lorelie Turner; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Harold Shelnut, Cleveland; sisters, Martha Loggins and Lillian Dockery, both of Cleveland; brothers, Carl Smith, Bud Smith, and Russell Smith, all of Dahlonega. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Welcome Worship Center. Rev. Jimmy Peck and Rev. Mike Young will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
