Jimmy Collins Simpson

Jimmy Collins Simpson, age 76 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, March 18 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Simpson was the son of the late Paul Samuel and Gertha Leopard Simpson and was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Loggins. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Cora Simpson, Cleveland; son, Jimmy Simpson Jr., Cleveland; daughters, Lisa Cochran, Amanda Beaman, Edinburg, TX; brother, Dean Simpson, Don Simpson, Mike Simpson, all of Cleveland, Dewey Simpson, MS; 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Barrett Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Ronnie Fendley will officiate. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
