J.M. Roberts

J.M. Roberts, age, 83, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, September 2nd, 2020. Mr. Roberts was born in White County to the late Jeremiah and Rebecca Ferguson Roberts. In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Jean Roberts; brothers, Walter Roberts and Mose Roberts; and sister, Emma Eades. Mr. Roberts was a member of the U.S. Air Force and served his country in the Korean War. He was the owner of the Cash and Carry Supermarket in Cleveland, and had a love for remodeling and building homes. Survivors include daughter, Theresa London, Gainesville; grandson, Rylan London, Gainesville; granddaughter, Felicity Jones, Gainesville; great-grandchildren, Denham Ivie and Brayden Jones; sister, Harriett Etris, Cleveland; sister-in-law, Carol Roberts, Cleveland; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held. The Rev. Wayne Hicks and Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.
