Joan Elizabeth Fitts

Joan Elizabeth Ledford Fitts, 59, of Dahlonega, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020. Mrs. Fitts was born on January 3, 1961, in Hall County, to the late John and Eunice Dockery Ledford. She worked at Wrigley’s for 23 years and was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include husband, Arthur Fitts, Dahlonega; son, Kyle Arthur Fitts, Dahlonega; brothers, Jerry Ledford, Dahlonega, and Wayne Ledford, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Doug Caldwell, Dahlonega; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a host of additional relatives. A loving mother, daughter, and sister, Joan was kindhearted, always taking care of others. Her laughter was contagious and will be missed. Joan loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a special place in her heart for her three dogs: Sam, Bear, and Walker. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Town Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Kris Butler and the Rev. Darin Cain will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M.
