Joanne Williams

Joanne Williams, age 90, of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Mrs. Williams was born on August 7, 1934, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Marcus and Pearl Ott Cosper. She was a homemaker and a graduate of Agnes Scott School of Nursing and practiced as an RN at Wesley Woods Nursing Home. Joanne was a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zeke Williams; brother, Wallace Cosper. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Janet Williams, Buford, GA, and Brian and Patty Williams, Martinsville, VA; granddaughter, Mary Beth Williams, Lake City, Florida; great-grandchildren, Ashton Tomlinson, Raven Tomlinson, and Weston Tomilson. Cryptside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Yonah View Memorial Gardens. The Rev. David Gilleland will officiate.
