Joey Edward Hooper

Joey “Bubba” Edward Hooper, age 61, of Cleveland, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Mr. Hooper was born on December 11, 1963, in Hampton, VA to Fred Hooper and Francine Robinson. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Hooper and brother, Aubrey Hooper. Mr. Hooper retired from Mars Inc. (Wrigley’s), where he worked for 30 years. He was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church. Bubba loved his Georgia Bulldogs. Over the years, he was responsible for mentoring several young men and served as a second father to many. Bubba never met a stranger and was loved by those who knew him. Joey is survived by his wife, Vicki Hooper; son, Adam Hooper; daughter and son-in-law, Hannah and Justin Miller: mother, Francine Hooper; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Gary Miller and Freda and Doyal Thornton, Jr; grandchildren, Fischer and Mayleigh Miller; nephews, Nick and Chris Miller; and niece, Taylor Nappi. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Town Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Philip Robinson and Rev. Casey Robinson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2024, at the funeral home.
